Backup your Files or Folders to your Email Account

Published by djyano under Email, Softwares Edit This

Backup To EMail is a very simple application that allow you to backup your files/folders to your email account. The configuration includes the same details you configure any email client like outlook express or thunderbird.

    Note:Only for Yahoo and Gmail

    Installation

First download the latest version of Backup To EMail.

    DOWNLOAD HERE

Then run the installation, next the main configuration screen will appear as follows:

In this screen you need to enter the email address where you wish your files/folders to be backuped to when you right click and backup them.

You can add more email accounts to backup to by clicking the “Configuration –> Mail Server” menu.

The email address you enter in this main screen will be the main email address that files/folder will be sent, this default email address will be the email address that files/folders be backuped to and will be assigned to the right click menu item “Backup To EMail”.

However you will be able to backup items to this mail address also from the “Send To” menu option, if you have set up more email accounts to backup to they will also appear there as seen in the following screenshot:

In the “Send To” menu option you can choose to which account you would like to backup your files/folder thus you can decide for example to backup important files to GMail while unimportant files to some other less trusted mail servers that has more storage than GMail but are less trusted (there are such that let you store tens of GB of emails).

The next important thing to do while installing Backup To EMail is to choose your outgoing mail server and to define your outgoing properties, this is done through “Configuration –> Mail Servers” menu item:

Over the next screen that appears you are first able to edit by default your default account (The account for which backups would be send through right click menu on files/folders with “Backup To EMail” menu item):

By default you will see the email account that you entered in the main screen; if you haven’t entered an email address in the main screen then press “New Account” and enter your details.

    Description of fields:

Account: The email account you are editing

Email address: The email address you want files/folders to be backuped to

Outgoing server: The same settings as you have in outlook express or thunderbird, if you use an email account of gmail or yahoo then enter for gmail: smtp.gmail.com

yahoo: You will need to set here a different mail server than smtp.mail.yahoo.com that is because this mail server is available only for registered users so if you have for example a gmail account put the details of your gmail account in Backup To EMail, and in the Backup To EMail address put your yahoo email address.

Requires authentication: for gmail and yahoo this field should be checked. Usually mail servers do not allow anyone to send emails through them (so that spammers would not abuse them to send spam) but only registered user, so if you are a registered user in gmail or yahoo or with your ISP check this field so you will send emails (backup files) through your authenticated account.

SSL: Check this checkbox for gmail and yahoo. This field should be true in case your email account encrypts your emails sending traffic. Files backuped will also be encrypted with SSL protocol.

Username: if you checked the field Requires authentication then enter here your username, for yahoo and gmail this is simply your username to the yahoo/gmail account.

Password: If you checked the field Requires authentication then enter here your password, this is required for connecting to your outgoing mail server your passowrd is encrypted and safely stored, and is not used for anything but backup to email.

Click “OK” to store your details.

    Backing up files/folders

This is the fun and easy part. Once your “Backup To EMail” configured you can right click any file or folder and click on “Backup To EMail”. A screen with a progress bar will apear and when it completes your file will be inside your email account.

Note: Files larger than 10MB will be split. Remember to update the outgoing server from Configuration –> accounts before sending.

    Accessing Backup To EMail configuration

You can always configureBackup To EMail by going to windows start menu –> Backup To EMail –> Backup To EMail

Top 10 Must Have iTunes Add-ons

Published by djyano under Softwares Edit This

iTunes is indeed a great music player and if you’re using iTunes as your primary music player then here are some add-ons to improve your iTunes experience.

iTunes Sync is a Windows only program that lets you sync iTunes with any other MP3 player, regardless of what brand it is.

Do you listen to music while browsing web? FoxyTunes allows you to control almost any media player (incl. iTunes) directly from the browser toolbar. Apart from standard buttons such as play, pause, volume controls etc, you also get one click access to lyrics search, artist bios, album art and so on. Works both with Firefox and Internet Explorer.

Conveniently share your music library with friends and let them stream your songs from wherever they are. You don’t have to be on the same network. Similarly you can access and stream music from friends.

    • NuTsie - Access your iTunes Library from any web-connected PC

nuTsie placeshifts your music to any web-connected PC and many mobile phones including Blackberry devices.Nutsie takes your iTunes library file and creates an online copy of it. At the end, you will be able to access your music library from any web enabled PC or mobile phone.

    • Moody - Organize your Music by Mood

This little iTunes addon lets you easily organize your music by mood. You can create shuffle mixes based purely on the “feel” rather than genre. Although it takes a little effort to tag your tracks it’s really worth it. See Moody video demo here.

Quick online backup and recovery service for your iTunes playlists. Playlist Vault will NOT backup music files but only your playlists so that you can recover them later in case they are accidentally erased.

If you have thousands of songs and need a smart app to generate playlists then try TheFilter. It’s quick and fully automated. In their own words : “Our Advanced Recommendation Technology makes great playlists quickly and easily from your music collection.”

G-Force is a really cool visualizer that works with most of the popular music players, including iTunes. I am not really sure about what you get with the paid version but the free one is pretty good as well. It starts with the GForce Premium ad but that disappears in about 5-10 seconds.

Bit-tunes is a continuously updated source that lists torrents for ‘Top 100′ music albums from the iTunes Music Store.

In case you’re on Last.fm, these two lightweight addons can send iTunes playing information to your Last.fm account. You can learn more about Last.fm here.

    Fruity Loops 8 Review

Published by djyano under Softwares Edit This

Image Line has released FL Studio 8, the complete music production environment.

Representing the culmination of more than 10 years of sustained development, FL Studio 8 is now the most flexible virtual music studio in the industry.

    What’s new in FL8 ?

    Instruments

Make virtually any sound. FL8 includes 29 virtual synthesizers covering acoustic/synthetic bass, electric guitar and plucked string simulation, sampler tools including piano, general sample playback, and beat-slicing, and a range of synthesis techniques (subtractive, modelling, FM, granular and additive). With FL Studios newest addition, FL Synthmaker - a fully modular environment, you can now create & share your own FL instruments, effects & dashboards without the need to write basic code.

    Audio Recording & Editing

Capture audio from a single vocalist or a full symphony orchestra. FL8 can record up to 64 simultaneous tracks of audio. The Playlist workspace can contain an unlimited number of audio tracks and allows you to arrange discrete audio events in any order or position the creative process dictates with complete flexibility. Audio tools allow the user to time-stretch, pitch-shift, beat-slice, chop, edit and creatively destruct audio. FL8 audio editing is further enhanced with Edison, the recording wave editor. Edison is a fully integrated audio editing and recording tool with spectral analysis, convolution reverb, loop-recording, loop-construction tools and more…

FL Studio imports/exports WAV, MP3 and OGG formats.

    Sequencing

Record musical performances and ideas in the most logical way. FL8 functions as both a pattern and track based sequencer, depending on user preferences. Tools include an unlimited track Step-sequencer, an industry-leading Piano Roll and Automation Clips. FL Studio supports MIDI and input from all standard Controllers.

FL8 is the fastest way from your brain to your speakers.

    Arranging

Determine your own project design. In FL8, you decide how your project will be laid out. Unlike the competition, FL8’s Playlist is a totally flexible and virtually unbounded space where Note Pattern, Audio and Automation data can be arranged and edited to suit your creative ideas and preferred workflow.

    Mixing/Mastering

The most powerful mixer in its class. FL8 includes an industry-leading 64 stereo track mixer. Each track can hold a stack of 8 effects (VST, DX or FL) and, if desired, be routed to any of the other 64 tracks or one of 4 dedicated ’send’ channels. The 44 included effects plugins span - Maximization, Limiting, Compression, Delay, Distortion, Equalization (graphic & parametriuc), Filtering, Phasing, Flanging, Chorus, Vocoding and Reverb. These will take you from the creative broad-brush effects like reverb, through to the minutia of the mastering process with multiband compression/limiting and parametric EQ.

    Lifetime free updates

Registered FL Studio users who purchase the download edition of the program receive lifetime free updates to the level of the program they buy (Express, Fruity, Producer or XXL edition). For example, all FL Studio 7 customers will be able to download FL Studio 9, 10 … for free. Boxed edition users can purchase lifetime free updates for a nominal fee.

    Key new features and changes

First, FL Studio 8 carries forward everything that is included in FL Studio 7 plus many more features:

  • FL Synthmaker is a fully modular environment where you can create & share your own FL instruments, effects & dashboards, all without the need to write basic code in a modular ‘plug-n-go’ workspace.
  • One-click-recording using Edison wave editor plugin. Edison ia a fully integrated audio editing and recording tool with spectral analysis, convolution reverb, loop-recording and more.
  • Slicex, the powerhouse drumloop slicer & re-arranging tool.
  • Soundgoodizer is a ‘maximizer-enhancer’ plugin based on the Maximus sound-process engine.
  • Fruity Limiter for maximizing & compressing final mixes or individual tracks. Free to all users.
  • Better integration with controllers. FL Studio can permanently learn and remember links to external controllers with the new ‘multilink’ function + ‘Override generic links’ option.
  • Wave Candy, a flexible audio analysis and visualization tool with Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer and Peak Meter.
  • Sinc interpolation now faster (64 point sinc now usable in real-time, depending on CPU).
  • Rendering with improved latency compensation.
  • Score logger, records all MIDI & note activity for instant recall. Everything you play, whether or not recording is active, is captured and ready to be dumped to the Piano roll.
  • Directwave Player, broaden your musical palette with downloadable sound banks and multi-sample sets.
  • Recording filter, to select Audio, Automation or Note data recording sessions, independently or in any combination.
  • Slip editing and resizing tool has been added to the Playlist for all clip types.
  • Multi-core safe plugins are threaded for performance gain on multi-core CPUs.
  • A ‘Selected mixer track’ has been added to the Mixer. The selected mixer track is routed there for better integration with visual effects or a recording Edison.
  • FL8 supports track-based sequencing in the Playlist. Pattern Clips present sequence data as Audio and/or Automation Clips.
  • An ‘Online Panel’, to keep users updated with content and patches.
  • Demo Limitations

All FL Studio demo versions are fully featured. You can compose new songs and export them to WAV or MP3. The only limitation is that the ability to save the project is disabled.

    Formats

FL8 will fit easily within your current workflow supporting VST/VSTi/VST2, DXi, DXi2, MP3, WAV, OGG, MIDI, ASIO, ASIO 2.

Additionally supported through DirectWave Editor – AKAI AKP (S5/6K,Z4,Z8), Battery (version 1), MPC, Reason, Kurzweil, EXS24, Kontakt (version 1 & 2), Recycle, SFZ+ and SoundFont2.

Downloading FLV Videos For All Websites Using Realplayer

Published by djyano under Softwares Edit This

What do i mean by all websites? I mean downloading FLV videos at popular websites like YouTube,Veoh Google videos, Yahoo videos. With realplayer you can download almost in all websites that provide FLV videos online.

  • Just highlight the video and click the download button
  • Why i choose realplayer?

    1) The download is fast and you can play the videos in the realplayer after you downloaded it.

    2) It is easy, not like other software or other site. Slow download, users have to convert FLV format to other format just to play with their own media player.

    3) Other video/media player don’t support FLV format while realplayer supports all major format.

    4) There’s no need for you to copy website link example Youtube link or view the source of the page just to find the link and paste it to software/site to download the videos.

    Download the RealPlayer 11 Now

You can even put the downloaded videos in Ipod, mobile phones or mp4 player.

    Top 7 : MP3Gain

  • MP3Gain analyzes and adjusts mp3 files so that they have the same volume. It does not just do peak normalization, as many normalizers do. Instead, it does some statistical analysis to determine how loud the file actually sounds to the human ear. With MP3Gain you can adjust your songs per file, which makes them all play at the same loudness (radio gain), or per album, which keeps the volume differences within an album but makes the albums play at similar loudness.
